What is a Celebrant?
Most people do not realise there is another option beyond a registrar or church ceremony.
As a fully qualified independent celebrant based in South Wales, I craft unique, completely personalised ceremonies with creative flair and heartfelt narratives that reflect you, your story, and what matters most to the people involved.
That means:

A ceremony that actually feels like you
Celebrant vs Registrar
A lot of people are not sure what the difference is, and that is completely understandable.
I take care of the ceremony experience. A registrar completes the legal paperwork.
I can write a ceremony that truly reflects you as a couple. A registrar has a strict set of standardised non-religious words they must say.
I meet my couples and we build rapport and a relationship. You are unlikely to meet your registrar before the day of your ceremony.
I am a self-employed Independent Celebrant. Registrars are local authority employees.
I can officiate ceremonies wherever your heart desires. A registrar is restricted to licensed venues.
I only take one wedding booking a day. Registrars usually have several weddings on the same day & are therefore time-restrained.
With a celebrant, you can get married on a beach, in a woodland, in your garden, a hotel or barn or anywhere else that means something to you. You can have your ceremony at any time of day, include personal stories, humour, and meaningful touches, and create something truly unforgettable.
The legal side is taken care of separately with a registrar, which can happen days, weeks, or even on the morning of your wedding. Your ceremony with me is then completely free to focus on what matters most - you, your love story, and the people who are there to share it.

I am passionate about creating ceremonies that feel completely personal, and I have been lucky enough to do exactly that for couples and families across South Wales and beyond.

I create bespoke ceremonies for couples, families, and individuals across South Wales, including Swansea, Gower, Carmarthen, Llanelli, Port Talbot, Neath, Bridgend, and Cardiff. I am also happy to travel further afield.
